Pasco County household hazardous waste and e-waste collection Dec. 3rd

Pasco County residents are urged to participate in the mobile HHW collection

PASCO COUNTY – Pasco County Utilities is hosting a household hazardous waste and electronics collection event for Pasco County residents on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Pasco County Public Works Building located at 7536 State Street (on the West Pasco Government Center campus) in New Port Richey.

“In preparation for all the holiday season get-togethers, this is a great opportunity to clean out under your sinks and in the garage,” said Keep Pasco Beautiful Coordinator Kristen King. “You can safely dispose of excess cleaning supplies, paints, gasoline, or any other household hazardous waste. Many people don’t realize there are also hazardous materials in television sets and old electronics, and this is a convenient, inexpensive way to properly dispose of all of these items.”

The event is free to Pasco County residents; however, there is a $5.00 charge for televisions, computer monitors, computer towers and laptop computers. There’s a $10.00 charge for televisions 36 inches and larger.
