King tide photo exhibit opens 5-month tour
Tampa Bay Estuary Program and the Science Center of Pinellas County are presenting Chasing the Waves: The King Tide, a traveling photo exhibit illustrating rising tides and the impact they have on flooding.The exhibit is designed to raise public awareness of the impact rising seas and climate change have on shorelines and communities and should be important considerations when considering building or buying property near a shoreline.
A 5-month tour of St. Petersburg opened this week at the Municipal Services Building. The exhibit features local images, as well as examples of the effects of rising sea levels in California, Australia, and the Pacific Island nations.
Exhibit schedule is as follows:

Municipal Services Building, One Fourth Street North, downtown St. Petersburg. The public can view the exhibit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through January 30.

Science Center of Pinellas County, 7701 22nd Avenue North, will host the exhibit from February 2-20. Viewing hours are 8:30 to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Mirror Lake Community Library, 280 Fifth Street North from February 23 to March 13. Viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Willis S. Johns Center, 6635 Dr. M.L. King Jr. Street North, March 16 to April 3. Viewing hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Childs Park Center, 4301 13th Avenue South, will host the photo series
from April 6 to 24, with viewing hours from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through
Thursday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

J.W. Cate Center, 5801 22nd Avenue North from April 27 to May 15. Viewing hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays; 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Enoch Davis Center, 1111 18th Avenue South. May 18 to June 5 Viewing hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, except Wednesday, when the Center closes at 5 p.m.
