Register now for Regional Clean Marina Workshop

All employees of marinas, boatyards and marine retailers are invited! The Florida Department of Environmental Protection in cooperation with Pinellas County and Florida Sea Grant are pleased to provide environmental compliance assistance to Southwest Florida’s marine industry. The workshop will provide marinas, boatyards and marine retailers up to date information about pertinent regulatory issues.

The workshop will be on Tuesday Feb. 25th from 9 am until noon, at Weedon Island Preserve in St. Petersburg (1800 Weedon Dr NE).

Topics will include:

• Pinellas County Artificial Reef Program
• Stormwater and hazardous waste management
• FDEP Voluntary Clean Marina Program

Regulatory specialists from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection will address industry-specific challenges and suggest Best Management Practices (BMPs) that the marine industry can implement to ensure not only regulatory compliance, but a higher level of environmental protection.

The workshop is free for marina/boatyard management and staff, the public and any other interested parties.
