Marine Science Educators Meeting at USF St Pete May 17-20

The Florida Marine Science Educators Association is holding their annual conference May 17-20 at the St. Petersburg campus of the University of South Florida in Tampa. The theme of the conference is "Going Coastal." The opening keynote speaker will be Pierre-Yves Cousteau, president of Cousteau Divers USA. The closing keynote speaker will be Dr. Ellen Prager, president of Earth2Ocean and author of the book "Sex, Drugs and Sea Slime." The conference includes meetings, workshops, field trips, a trade exhibit, poster sessions, and social events including a silent auction fundraiser to benefit the organization.

Founded in 1968, the Florida Marine Science Educators Association is a nonprofit organization whose members are dedicated to making the public more aware of Florida’s fragile coastline through education. The major role of FMSEA is to provide a medium for the exchange of ideas, information and resources among Florida’s marine educators.
