Be Floridian! (Click Here to Find Out How)

News Image

Be Floridian is a fan club for True Floridians. We enjoy fishing, relaxing on the beach, eating grouper sandwiches — anything but fertilizing our lawns in the summer!

True Floridians never fertilize in the summer. We know that fertilizing in the rainy season pollutes our beautiful bays, lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. Help us let the newcomers know!

Being Floridian promotes our special lifestyle: Healthy bays, lakes and oceans. Clean water. Beautiful yards filled with diverse plants that don't need much water or care. Weekends spent fishing, boating or sipping drinks with little pink umbrellas instead of mowing, edging, watering and fertilizing.

Be Floridian is a public service campaign sponsored by the Tampa Bay Estuary Program and Pinellas County, Florida.
