Largo Seeks Volunteers for "Green Team"

Recycling advocates can help the community and the environment by volunteering for the City of Largo's Green Team.
Green Team volunteers will be trained on Largo's recycling program. Volunteers will encourage residents and businesses to take advantage of free curbside and select commercial recycling opportunities. Neighborhood ambassadors for recycling, presenters for educational events and business partner recruitment volunteers are needed.
Green Teamers must be passionate about recycling. Volunteers must be willing learn about the resources that Largo provides to make recycling convenient and effective. Volunteers must be 16 years of age and up with the ability to volunteer approximately three hours a month.
The City of Largo will host a Green Team volunteer meet-and-greet on Thursday, September 23, 4-5:30 pm at the Largo Public Library. Potential and current Green Team volunteers can discuss and plan future Green Team projects.
