Please join us for a "Give A Day For The Bay"

Please join us for a "Give A Day For The Bay" workday on Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at McKay Creek in Largo.We need 35-40 volunteers for trash removal along the creek and removal of some floating water hyacinth and rooted invasive exotics such as Taro and primrose willow. There are alligators around, so we will need people to help with an "Alligator Watch." Closed toed shoes must be worn. Please bring shovels, pitchforks and other preferred tools. Trash bags will be provided. Work will begin at 9 am. We'll be meeting at the main bridge over McKay Creek, which is located at the east end of the Pinellas County Extension Service parking lot. Please park at the Sunstar parking lot. Address is 12520 Ulmerton Rd , Largo , FL 33774. All volunteers receive lunch and a t-shirt. Youth participants must be 14 or older and accompanied by a parent. Anticipate getting wet and/or muddy. Contact Debbie Chayet, 727-582-2521 for questions.
